Planning Your Own Biketober Event

As a community festival of pedal-powered fun, Biketober invites you to submit your event or activity for the 2023 programme.

You may also want to consider setting up a FB event for your activity and invite Biketober to co-host.  We’ll check that it meets our criteria and you’ll be on your way.

To get an event listed on the Biketober calendar, you simply need to confirm that:

  • Your event principally involves riding a bike* or is relevant to those who ride and their trusty transport devices.  It could be a themed ride, a race, a seminar or a how-to workshop – anything about cycling and the culture of riding a bike.
  • Your group will take responsibility for the necessary Health and Safety requirements, ensuring a safe and enjoyable event for all.

And to add to the Biketober vibe, consider making your event:

  • Open and accessible to all, ie free, koha, or cost-recovery only
  • Welcoming to those who are just starting out on a cycling journey

* For the avoidance of doubt, Biketober embraces all forms of assisted cycling. We also welcome riders on unicycles and tricycles.
