The purpose of this ride is to raise funds for the Hagar organisation’s Anti-Trafficking work in Vietnam with a special focus on the issue of forced marriage of Vietnamese women to Chinese (ie trafficking over the border.)
We’ve created a 105 km route around the city and will be riding from 6.45 am to 4:30 pm, making stops at different cafes along the way. Join us for part or all of the ride – see the Facebook event for details.
Between all participants, we hope to accumulate 1445 km, which is the distance along the Vietnamese/Chinese border.
Wedding attire is encouraged! Biketober will provide prizes for best dresses and a free coffee along the way.
