Sadly, this event has had to be POSTPONED. If you’re interested, get your name on the list at the club by emailing info@nccc.co.nz.
Here’s what the club secretary sent through late Weds night:
It’s with regret that we are postponing the Junior Open Day this Sunday.
Committee members inspected the tracks this evening and made the decision to close all single tracks until further notice. The Nor’Wester caused extensive damage last weekend. Rayonier has been working overtime to clear their main access roads for normal forestry operations and have closed the forest to all other users. Our single tracks are in a sorry state and will need to be cleared, then declared safe to use. This could take some time as they are not Rayonier’s top priority.
Thank you for your understanding. We will be in touch as soon as the single tracks are safe to use again.
