Ride for the Forced Brides

Come join us as we seek to collectively ride a very meaningful distance and make some change in the world!  🚴🏿‍♀️  🌏  🚴🏻‍♀️

The length of the Vietnam/Chinese border, a known spot of human trafficking, is 1445 km.  To raise awareness about trafficking and forced marriage, we are hoping to get a group of cyclists together to collectively travel 1445 km in one day!

The route is 100km in total and while some of the riders will be doing the whole thing, you are welcome to join in at one of the meeting points and do what you can!

The majority of the journey will be on cycle paths.  See the FB event for the route details and stops.

As well as wearing something bridal to draw attention to forced marriage (riders be given veils on the day), we are also asking everybody who rides to make a donation (of any size).  👰🏽

The ride is organised by Hagar which exists to provide recovery services to survivors of trafficking, forced marriage and abuse and runs prevention initiatives in communities.
