Spokes Canterbury brings you a series of public talks on a variety of cycling topics. Doors are open early, so please support our host venues by ordering food and drinks. You can order food from The Craft Embassy via the bar at Little Andromeda.
For the opening/launch event for Biketober, we have Dr Glen Koorey speaking on “Sustainable Transport Insights from Europe” after his trip earlier in the year which included attending the 2026 Velo-City cycling conference held in Rimini, Italy. Glen is a transport and safety specialist with consultancy firm ViaStrada. Prior to that he was a lecturer at University of Canterbury.
