Velo à l’est – Te Ara Ōtākaro

Cycle to the East on the Avon River Trail.

11 years on from the 2010 Canterbury Earthquake what we know as ‘The Red Zone’ is beginning a journey of managed development which will take the next 30 years.   🌈 🌱 🌳 ❤️

Join a guided ride on Te Ara Ōtākaro along our beloved river, stopping at several points along the way to hear from those who have been involved in the community development of this special area.

There will be history, earthquake stories, the natural environment, community projects en route.   The vision for this region of Christchurch Ōtautahi – The Green Spine.
