Passport 2023 is all about the hidden gems around Christchurch (and beyond) – things that are easier to get to by bike than by car.
The list of Passport Destinations will be shown on the MyPassport page.
Visit as many Destinations as you can, from 8am on Oct 1 to 6pm on Oct 28.
Check-in at each destination to receive a unique four-digit Passport code and enter the code on your MyPassport to earn a stamp. The more stamps, the better the chance of winning a prize.
Share the fun! Post a selfie on Facebook or Instagram with #biketoberchchpassport
Come along to the Passport Prize-Giving on Oct 31 to see if you’ve won a prize!
Ready to cycle the city like never before? Put your navigation skills and your endurance to the test.
Sun Oct 29 is the day to test your mettle – visit as many Passport Destinations as you can between 8am and 6pm, entering the codes as you go.
How many can you bag? How long will it take? How tired will your legs be?
There’s a special One Day Challenge prize up for grabs, and of course you qualify for Big Biketober Passport prizes too.
There is no postponement for poor weather – ride hard.
The Biketober Whanau Passport is a child-friendly passport, specially for the school holidays.
Most of the Whanau Passport Destinations are in the central city, and we’ve packed the passport with Destinations that you can reach via safe cycleways and shared paths. Check out the destinations on the Whanau MyPassport page.
Ride as a family to collect passport stamps from interesting and fun places and go in the draw for great prizes.
The event runs throughout the school holidays in Biketober, that is from 8am on Sun Oct 1 to 6pm on Sun Oct 8. Make this a fun holiday activity to do together on your bikes.
Anyone aged 13 years or older is welcome to enter the Passport events. Children under 13 may participate only if they are supervised by an adult while biking. Members of the Biketober Committee and their immediate family (or partners) are not eligible to win prizes. See the Terms of Entry for full details.
